WHY SOLAR?In rural regions of Africa, approximately 600 million people live without access to electricity and often rely on dangerous, expensive and polluting kerosene lanterns as a primary source of light. The solar-powered lights and systems that SkyPower Cares gifts are a safe, modern and reliable alternative that extends the hours of light available in the day and supports a global shift toward sustainability. Together, solar energy supports a healthy environment, a robust economy and increased social equity.
